7x57 rifle advice

In all honesty I'll probably sell the gun before I start paying $80+ per box of ammo. That's too rich for my blood when I also have a .270 to use as well.

LOL in all honesty, with the price ammo has been the last few years, and extra 10-20$ for premium seems good to me, but at the gunshows, its usually 30-40$s a box, regardless of maker. I have seen newer Norma for 60-70 if you shop around. I would rather have that than the cheaper fed/win/rem for 50$s a box. Some of the online sellers had the PPU for 29$s a box, as did Pheonix in Edmonton.

1:9 for those. But in a long action with a bit of a throat, you might want to try some 175's or 180's. Could be fun, but you'll want 1:8 to spin those.

Great. I was thinking I should use a long action - confirmed thanks. With scarcity of components maybe not. I do have on hand about 400 or so each of the two I listed.

The Brno zg47 definitely an amazing rifle if you can find one. My dad left me his when he passed I still use it for my spring bear hunts as spring bear was the first time my dad took me hunting

Hang on to that rifle. Without question, one of the best factory sporting M98 variants ever made--a quality tool gun meant to be used for several generations.
