If you can, buy Ignman or Privi Partisan, their ammo is loaded to higher pressure specs than the North American crap.

Yeah, I don't mess around. Don't go out to pubs/bars anymore. No smoking.... Hence, got a pretty healthy "toy" budget. So, mine understands. Plus she comes out & shoots, too. :rockOn:
 
7 X 57

I have the Ruger No1 in 7 X 57 but would like to have one in 7-08 with an international stock. I want a 7 X 57 Ruger No1 with an International stock.
Does anyone have a problem with a scope on the No1? I have been looking for a scope with a longer eye relief. I am vertically challenged and have a hard time just getting comfortable looking through the scope on a No1.
I purchased two sets of offset rings to try to get closer. I have a Brno 21H that is longer than the one I just traded. I don't want to touch the stocks and ruin them.
I am looking for a No1 butt stock so I can shorten it to fit me. If anyone has any suggestions I would like to hear it.
The 7 X 57 and its offspring are here to stay. Get the older ones before someone with a hacksaw decided to ruin it.

I happen to have a spare No.1 butt stock.
Why do you need an extra too shorten, if I may ask?

Also, the low powered leupolds have a very long eye relief.

I have shot moose with the 150 & the 160 Partition, either seems to do the trick, but if you favor the heavier bullets, the 160 will be fine. If your Ruger has a long throat like some of them do, you may even be able to load that long 175 Partition out far enough to get sufficient powder behind it for decent velocities. (2550+) That would be unlikely to stay inside a moose because that is one he** of a penetrator. Regards, Eagleye.

Yes, you are right, snob appeal is appreciated by those with fine taste in firearms, " What spider, haven't you got one", works for me every time.
