Hello,

I have a fairly modern rifle (1955 Husqvarna 4100) .

Does anyone have any pet handloads for a rifle like this using 175 grain round nose bullets please?

I have H4350 and H4831 powder on hand.

I may have access to RL19 a friend's loading room.

Just shot a deer yesterday with my M1908 Brazilian Mauser Sporter in 7X57. Used the Hornady 175gr RN. I used 50.0 grs of H4831. My gun has a very long throat, and the Loaded OAL was 3.150".

That's very common with military Mausers.

My load is very similar. With a 175 Hornady, I use 49.0 grains of WC 852, which is a slow ball powder, virtually identical to the old H450 (which itself was close in burning speed to modern H4831).

I've never hunted with this rifle, but if I did, this would be the load I'd use.
