7x57 with h4350

A chronograph really helps when loading for this cartridge. If you load a 22" barrel 7x57 with 154-160 grain bullets to between 2650 and 2700 fps using H4350, you will be getting pretty much everything out of the round that it is safely capable of. And it will kill well and not beat you up. I don't mention a powder charge weight because throat length, and thus pressure and velocity with a given powder charge, vary enormously with this cartridge depending on who made the rifle and when.

I am certain I would be able to increase my charge. Might b the ppu brass has quite a bit more internal capacity than R-P. While weighing the ppu it is pretty much the same weight as w-w super. While developing a load with 162 grain bullets I found identical loads shot 80 fps slower with w-w super brass than with pmc and 50 fps slower than with Remington brass. I may try hotter loads with the 154 gr Hornady. But for now I am happy with 48 gr. It seems very consistant
