"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Had to Seek this guy out and finally found him!!

6 DAYS of persistence hiking and covering over 25 kms of ridges, hills, and cutblocks from dawn to Dusk. Hardest hunt to date, yet I never gave up. I knew the big bucks were starting to move, it was only a matter of when and where. Caught him off guard with about 8 does. 1 shot with my 7x64 using 175Gr Hornady interlocks @ 2720fps at 100 yards did the job! The recovery was tough with him being 225+ lbs. I was on my own at the time with my hunting partner walking a different ridge. I had to gut him there and pull him quite aways out of the bush to an area where I get the truck in. The buck measured in at 27.5 inches wide. Biggest buck to date! With all that said and done I'm very thankful and blessed!

**UPDATE JAN 30/2019**

Well I've finally had time to work on making me a Euro mount out of the buck I got with my 7x64. I think it turned out alright. 27.5 inches wide.

Nicely done! Congrats! In the Central Parkland area in AB the WT's haven't started to get in the mood just yet but I hope they do as Nov 30th is the last day.

Congratulations on a fine deer. Nice to see others using the 7x64 too, i took my last two mule deer with a couple of different 7x64's. Perfect match, cartridge to quarry.
