I have a rifle coming in 7X65R and I don't reload. I would like to try different manufactured ammo to find what it likes but am having trouble locating it. Anybody have any hints?
Thanks,
Witts.

The best I have found is essentially surplus stuff. Non-corrosive doesn't seem to be to plentiful and it might be around $1 a round. Try Tulammo or Barnaul, that's all I know of.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I don't think there ever existed "surplus stuff" for the 7X65R Brenneke: It was designed as a sporting rifle caliber by Wilhelm Brenneke near the end of the great war, a rimmed version for combination guns/drillings of the 7X64. Essentially it's a 280 Remington... forty years earlier.

OP - Tradeex (I'd check them first...) probably has or can get Sellier and Bellot, Norma (and a couple other European manufacturers) ammunition in the caliber: I cleaned Gobles out of their Norma stock last year only because they gave me a deal if I took the few boxes they apparently had a hard time selling. (lucky me, for despite the hefty cost, my rifle shoots them well) Naturally I picked up reloading components for the caliber in the event that ammunition becomes difficult to obtain. Gunco in Ottawa also comes to mind... most mainstream stores don't carry this round and about the only thing relative that'd be on the shelves are 7mm bullets, LR primers and powder.

Thanks fellows. I did find one box at Epps and will check the suggestions out. I was looking for the Hornady GMX but it appears to be only for Europe.
