I thought I would share this being as it's the off season for most of Canada.

back in October 2011 I finally connected on my first deer. Not much of a story on him, kinda got lucky. He looks like 6X6 but there are 1point before each brow tine that are an inch long just making him a 7X7 But here are some pics I thought I would share.

Sorry no field pics as I was by myself and I got him at last light

Nice Deer. Did you measure him up yet?

No I haven't. I took him to the taxi right away and haven't had the chance to measure him. It will be a few months yet before I get him back.

Anybody want to give it a guess?? It being my first I have no idea

Hard to say looking at the pics but I'm guessing he'll score 125-130 net B&C
Congrats on your deer!
cheers

nah... thats too low.. I'm thinking about 140 net.. Nice deer, great early season hide for a mount

I'd put his basic frame at about 150-155 - but notice that the G2's appear to fork. Maybe 8-10 inches of deductions there, plus those two stickers below the brow tine.

I'd put the final score between 135 and 145 based on the pictures we've seen.

Regardless, that is a nice buck and I wouldn't have hesitated to pull the trigger.

Like I said its hard to say looking at pics on what it will score but it takes a pretty nice buck to score 150...hopefully the OP will have it scored and let us know.
cheers
