Made some changes to my 2 mth old 8.5" dlask:
1. Removed the front strap. It was a pain to use and occassionally got in the way when racking the slide.
2. Added an oversized safety button. Very nice feel.
3. Added a 4-shell Mesa side saddle. Nice all aluminum product!
4. Installed the Hogue Tamer pistol grip. Planning to keep it on 'cause I found a great padded soft case that fits it perfectly!

Looking to change the front grip to a more "tacticle" shorty with a flip knurled metal vertical post. Don't know if one exists...so if anyone has a lead please let me know!

Thanks for looking....

does that not couse a problem with the overall liength
My SG is classified as non-restricted and sold as a package with the 8.5"Dlask bbl, regular stock and pistol grip. My understanding is I'll have to re-register the SG as restricted if I have the pistol grip installed for 30 consecutive days. Of course I'll be taking the pistol grip off before the 30 days are up to keep the non-restricted class and then re-installing it;)

johNTO, I don't think you're right about that "30 day grace period" idea. I'm pretty sure as soon as it has been changed it has to be reclassified.

Tread carefully, and perhaps don't advertise too much that you're breaking the law.

###XX, thanks for the head's up....never was one for challenging the law so the grips coming off as I type and the reg stock is going back on. Want to keep this SG non-restricted!
