Looking for a good forend that fit on the DA Grizzly with the 8.5" barrel. Not sure if regular 870 ones fit or if they're too big. Any good smaller forend with rail suggestions?

Dlask makes one. Not sure if there are other options.
I started modifying my forend. Need to thin down the rail a bit more so the grip sits tighter. But I'm happy with the direction it's going. Haven't shot it yet with the afg or flashlight so we'll see.

i cut down a regular 870 remington to fit a dlask gun so it should work on a grizzly. it was a matter of cutting to the correct length. i also had to mill out some material on the inside as the dlask barrels are bigger than standard but i do not think the grizzly is . i had the advantage of working in and using a fully equipped machine shop but ordinary hand tools would work.i did not like the rails on the dlask as they tear up your hand on recoil and that is the reason for the regular for-end.
I made old 870 wood fit on my 8.5" grizz, the tube the forend mounts on was alot bigger and I had to remove alot of material inside the forend! A dremel made short work of it, just keep checking your fit to make sure you don't remove too much wood!
I'm trying to find the "Serbu" shotgun forend in this video, anyone know if they are available in Canada? Also - anyone try to modify a Surefire forend to fit the 8.5" ?

I wouldnt want to hack up a 300+ forend.
I emailed serbu last year and they said they never sell just the fore end and don't export anything to canada... so unless anything changed then we're sol on that fore end here

You mean how was the light mounted. I epoxied it on, and it popped off under recoil after the first box of slugs. Thought that might happen, but figured it was worth a shot in case it worked.
Mounting a rail would be the most straightforward option, but I want something lower profile than that, hence the epoxy attempt. My latest thought is to drill through the flashlight and use a couple of small studs from the inside. Or mill out a low profile ring, but was hoping to not go there, too many other projects on the go, no enough hours in the day!
