8.5" Grizzly Shotgun Now Available to Pre-Order.

i am not referring to you in particular... simply to the group of people who have been arguing that <660mm PGO shotguns are non-restricted for years now, yet still have not been able to provide any hard evidence to back it up.

its dangerous to be doing this in a forum like CGN. there are newbies to the sport coming here to look up information all the time, and to ask what mods they can legally make to their shotguns: the last thing we need is one of them to read the assurances of a few vocal members here, put a PG on their 8.5" shotgun, and get nabbed by the RCMP for it.... then tell them and the media that he was assured that it was legal by www.canadiangunnutz.com

if you believe that a <660mm PGO shotgun is non-restricted, then by all means take steps to prove it. otherwise your posts are simply an opinion based on your own personal interpretation of a law that is untested in court and unsupported by any documents. pushing this opinion as fact in a public forum full of impressionable new shooters is very irresponsible.

i agree with the posters that advise not to put a pistol grip stock on these short barrel shotguns because of the legal mess you may land in but having said that it is interesting to note that these short barrel shotguns were deemed unrestricted with a pistol grip by the r.c.m.p. and were registered as such by the c.f.c. before they did an about face . i am sure they would have a interesting time explaining this to a court if it comes to that .who pressured them to change the ruling is the question that needs to be addressed .

I am glad to see they have finally arrived. Hopefully in the next month or so I can pick one up. Do you guys still have any outlaws left or are they all sold?

Pre-order

Please pre-order two of these bad boys for me.
How do I go about making sure you set two aside?

Thanks

Can someone with some photoshop skills put a Knoxx SpecOps stock on the 8.5 Grizzly, and a set of Wilson Combat ghost-ring sights, and a end plate sling adapter, I'd like to see what the gun will look like when done.

With a sight radius of +/- 14" it should be preaty accurate. 3+1 rounds 'aint bad for a compact HD/camp gun.

while 2 x 3" does indeed not equal to 3 x 2.75" , and I can't speak to the Grizzly's mag spring and follower length since I don't have one, I do have two of the Dlask 8 3'8" barrelled 870s and there is enough free mag tube space in my Dlask models to put in 3 2.75" shells - but not 3 of the 3 inchers.

FWIW

I hope this is the case with these 8.5" grizzies

What does everyone want to do with their new 8.5" grizz? I was thinking a messa or S&J stock kit would be pretty cool maybe a vortex red dot on the rail or some flip up ghost rings?

Just to go back on the class of firearm the short barreled shotgun with pistol grip is , I thought the case of restricting it went to court in Alberta ? Did the RCMP win that case or are they once again making up their own rules ? Anyone know about that ? Also if the one handed rule doesn't apply to cycling the action , I can fire my full stocked shotgun with one hand too! Any of those RCMP try firing a 8 1/2 inch barreled , pistol gripped shotgun with a 3 inch round in it ? Hang on ! By the way that fore end on your 8 1/2 in looks pretty cool . Can I buy one to put my Dlask ?
