if i read it correctly there should be aprox. 410 bb's of shot 8. size= .090" (2.29 mm)
what do you plan on doing with it, or just curios how many were in it?

thank you,

well i got them free, also think there reloads (?). i probably won't use them for trap, haven't shot trap in 30 yrs. if any thing probably just have some fun with them and shoot melons or the like.

wasn't 100% sure what they were. not much experiance with shotguns, more with pistolas and rifles. if they had been close to a 00 buck, i would have a idea and just keep them. not scwander haplessly.

thank you very much for the helpful reply. i greatly apreciate your time and help.

Almost as far from double ought as it gets, shot goes to #9 in standard production but #8 is the smallest you'll commonly encounter. The larger the number, the smaller the shot, 8 shot looks really really tiny beside a .177 BB. Buy a hand thrower and a box of clays, and a hundred more 7 1/2 or 8 shot shells, and have the most fun you can have in an afternoon with your pants on. Informal clay shooting's probably the most fun type of shooting out there.

There likely aren't any bearings in the box of shotshells.:D

As to the amount of pellets in a shell, it depends on the weight of shot in the shell, and you haven't provided that, or even the gauge of the shotshells.

unless you watched the guy loading the shells, I wouldn't use them. you never know what's happened to them or how they were loaded. Could cause you a world of hurt. a box of 25 is cheap nowadays anyway.
