Hey All

So, I just purchased a new TRR8 Revolver and now I am thinking of running it in local friendly IPSC and IDPA matches. (Wont be competitive in Open, but I LOVE Wheel Guns!!!)

That being said, now I need some nice moon clips or speed loaders for it... Which do you guys think would be better? Also, anyone know where I can get them up here in the Great White North???

I like moonclips, try TKcustom dot com. What type of brass you use will depend on what diameter moon clip you should get. I just picked some up for my 627Vcomp and they work great.

Ya they ship to Canada, it was pretty quick. I bought these ones. I have mostly Speer brass and they work fine, also good with federal. The Winchester brass just won't clip into the .025", you'd need thinner. You could also buy them from Brownells who sell the .022" ones.

I have them for my 460V in .460S&W and .454 Casull

the aluminum speed loaders are very nice, I've handled and used them, but so slow compared to a comp III. more of a range bling thing, but still cool.

Agreed. I cringe at the thought of letting loose 5 smith .460's, followed by a fast speed loader reload and 5 more in rapid succession....l

I'd rather have a nice break and chat to the fellas about my speed loaders!

.357, that's another story..load em up fast and lets go!

SL Variant Speedloaders are the BEST BAR NONE but I don't know if they make an 8 shot N Frame version.

I'd agree with you on the 525, but 38 seems to wobble around a lot, it doesn't have the defined extraction groove that 45 acp does. Now if your 627 is in 38 super.....but mine isn't...still looking for a fast reload solution
