80% receivers??

An AR10 lower can't fire an AR15 upper but it is still a Variant. It is hard to say what they will rule until after you have done it.
I never said it was a rule written in stone. The AR10 is a wild card as by all logic it could never be called a variant, yet it is.

I'm just repeating what I was told.

without a manufacturing liscence you can not build for resale ........ as far as i've been made to understand. I'm not aware of any limitations on the number a person can build for personal use. But say a guy after building one.... figured hey..... why not make 10 more and roll em over on the EE ...... that.... would require a mess of liscencing and insurance and on and on and on........

build em, keep em, shoot em, and pass em on to your kids when ya croak

I have tried on numerous occasions to find out just when you need to have a manufacturing license. I have never been successful in getting this information.

I just go by what seems to be the common thinking, that you need one ifyou plan to sell stuff.

there is no way they can predict if you're going to keep it or sell it. and i dont understand how can they make assumptions ? and also, they can not keep you from selling if thats what u decide to do.

selling one after you used it is the same as selling your old couch, But if you make to sell itwith out a permit is wrong

Did you have any trouble after the first one? It was said earlier that if you do more than one you require a manufacturing license. Can you confirm. thanks

the first one went to Ottawa for examination by the GunCops. after they finished, they sent it back to me. i have the forms for the FRT number they assigned it. the next one just got the same FRT assigned to it, same type of gun.

on the registration there is no special mention of "not for sale." i haven't tried but i don't think there will be any problems if i ever wanted to sell it. there may be a red flag if i make several all at once, then try to transfer. but i doubt it. they have enough trouble figuring out whos is whos. let alone how many you just made/sold.

i do not think its a problem making guns and selling them unless you register a business and then sell without permits as a company. once a firearms is registered there is no difference between one you made and one you bought.

What you think and what the ignorant law writers think are two very different things.

Could you get away with selling a home built? Probably. Is it legal? No one seems to know.
