Looks like a good time. Mine is loaded with bear bangers and slugs in a side saddle at present, the bears have all popped out at work.

Are there QD sling mounts out for the M4?

Yep lots of good options out there, mag tube clamp style works perfect up from and there are "sandwiched" plates for the rear with a QD socket.

The M4 is one of my keepers! If you guys ever see some pictures of mine... The more abuse done to it, the more it looks great! Mine should be the most beaten up M4 in Canada...

They're meant to work for a living, and were built for it. As mentioned the M4 is often presented as a princess, with cheaper autos held up as working guns; the opposite is likely the truth. The M4 is the most tested and proven, and combat proven at that, auto available. Admirable.

I bought the M2 as a work gun. I chose it over the M4 for the lighter weight

They are light, and Benelli quality, can't fault that choice. For me the aftermarket and most of all collapsing stock were the determining factors.

I'm torn between an M4 and a versa max competition tactical.

Nobody would tell you the M4 isn't the better gun, but it all depends if you want a Versamax and 500 shells of 00 or an M4. For the roughly $500 difference the easy answer is M4 to me, Remingtons aren't on the same quality playing field. But I can also see it being a no brainer for some folks the other way too.

Yeah, I'm going to have to think long and hard on it. I have a direct in with remington so going that way has certain advantages makes the $500 retail difference a bit more when I factor in the access I have.

Don't think you'd be disappointed, people seem to like the Versamax, I am admittedly biased against Remington after I got a couple bad guns from them over the (post-2003) years. Good chance they're better than I think.
