$800 Later And I Don't Have A Clue What I'm Doing.....

once you figure out how to reload properly.. there are a few steps every new comer needs to do that everyone always seems to forget to tell them..

1. Find your OAL(OVER ALL LENGTH) for your shells. you can do this by taking a NON primed sized casing .. putting 4 slits in the neck of it to release tension. starting a bullet into it.. ( this is not a loaded round ) and then push the bullet into your gun.. measure the over all length.. record it.. and now see if your clip will accept this bullet and if it will load from it..

if not you need to seat the bullet further.. do so till it will work fine in the clip..

if your MAX OAL cartridge will load fine from the mag right off the bat.. i recommend seating it 20 thous deeper to keep it slightly off the lands..

Now that you know how long your cartridge needs to be you have something to work with.

Now you need to figure out a method of finding your loads. so many people spend another 500$ finding them its crazy. so i recommend you save yourself some headaches and try methods proven to work .. such as the ladder method

http://kingfisher.0catch.com/guns/laddertest.explanation.html#Loaddevelopment

it works and it makes sense. read on how it works and it might even help you realize how guns work and why one load might be all over and another not..

it will also help you develop more stable loads that will hold there accuracy even if you use a couple to many granuals of power ect.
