820 Lb. Feral Hog

I suspect that in Alabama heat, if that pig was hung and not gutted and skinned right away, it most likely ended up on the garbage heap. Article also states that he took it to get weighed the next day. A shame to waste that much meat, but in that climate, maybe just not practical or economical to process it.

I personally wouldnt be standing next to that thing iffen it was the next days picture taking event.
Couple more hours and the dam thing will be bloating and ready to explode out its mouth and anus...Yikes !
Yup, there are many reasons why pig farmers have their money pigs castrated...then again some guys like to shoot Bucks and Bull Moose in the thick of the rutt too.

Its a domestic pig. Look how clean it Is, not scarred up at all. And the neighbour has now said it escaped from their pen the previous week.
And I'll bet dollars to donuts it doesn't break 600lbs. The peanut company has some 'splainin to do about that scale.

You mean there is something untrue on the Internet? Don't they put people in jail for that?

Yes they do! I personally used to work with a guy who had an ex girlfriend who's uncle's next door neighbour's best friend did 3 years for internet falsehoods!

Wow - only 3? He musta got parole or sumptin'

On a slightly different note, where I go for boar (on a game ranch), the guy told me that any boar over 300-350 lbs will start to get gamey. I got 2 sows, one around 230, one 269 and they are most excellent eating. Just finishing up the one I got last X-mas.
