Load for MAX performance in YOUR gun...
Work your way up, watch the performance on paper and watch for pressure signs... the best load should become apparent as you test. If you reach MAX (for your gun or a full case, whichever comes first) and you are still not happy, start over with another bullet or powder or both.

That is why I have said on here so many times that that a cartridge is most efficient when it is loaded to the velocity the cartridge was designed for.

I have had good luck with reduced loads and H4895... Hodgdon states starting loads begin at 60% of published MAX loads, but I get best results using 70-80%.
My quote of 70-80% was specifically related to "reduced" loads. For full power loads, my experience is the same as those listed above... my best performance from an accuracy stand point has been at or close to max levels... H4895 does better than most when less than 3/4 of the case capacity is used... after that I am into the fast/bulky powders, like Unique and Trail Boss.

It's a different cartridge completely, but I was load for my .454 Casull in a carbine using H110 and I had an ES of close to 100 fps.
I did some poking around and found people suggested adding cream of wheat as a filler to compress the H110 for better performance.
I did that and the ES on my next batch of loads with all the same components, but with cream of wheat filler was like 9 fps. I was blown away.
I think it just speaks to matching your powder with the pressures it likes...

I get good results with lots of reduced loads in rifle powder, esp IMR4064, and IMR4895. But they would not be well suited to the kind of accuracy the OP was asking about when he started this thread.
