858-2 sling question

simply this. how on earth to you put that bloodly sling on the gun properly? i've tried every way i can think of and it's either too tight on the gun to be usefull or hangs like it will disconnect any minute. maybe im just missing the obvious but can anyone give me a hand here?

ps im using the sling that came with the rifle from the factory.

Remove the green button that holds the sling together, feed the leather end of the sling through the sling swivel on the butt, then through the adjuster making sure that this is facing away from the rifle. Put the leather through the big key ring on the side of the gas port and replace the button, Adjust to suit ! Best sling I have ever had :)
