858 Brake and Fibre Optic sight

if you are after muzzle climb, then get a gill style brake. super loud, but very effective to keep on target.

the others are more for flash reduction.

While the two top brakes that you mentioned above do work nicley the bottom 2 flash suppressor's do not work well. I have owned them all. The only one that did work great was the NAV flash hidder from Dlask arms then in a distant second place I would place the XB3 and then the FN FAL style flash hidder from that Czech sight that we are not allowed to post.
Also for the O.P. to note that these style muzzle brakes are LOUD. So if you enjoy shooting and hearing I recommend the military muzzle brake as it is the best bang for your buck.
As for the NEA fiber optic front sight I truley enjoy shooting with it and with the peep sight from Rauch it make shooting irons so much more fun.

I picked up a green fibre front sight from Target Sports the site sponsor.

They are out of the red and tirillium sadly. Couldn't find other stock anywhere :( all sold out.

Ordered the Rauch Tactical Peep to go along with it.

I like the simplicity of irons on this kind of rifle but the stock set-up leaves much to be desired for old eyes.

I picked up the CZ military muzzle brake for my non restricted 858 & have been thrilled with how well it reduced the muzzle jump. Very easy to stay on target with a follow up shot! Wasn't too expensive either. :D

I was wondering exactly the same as the OP about brakes. Just picked up Czechoslovakia's greatest contribution to the world of rifles myself, and now itching to get out with it... Perhaps Saturday morning, wife permitting;)

I see lots of brakes for the AK47. Is the muzzle thread on a AK the same as on my CZ858?

Theyre both M14x1.0 but AK is left hand and VZ/CZ is right hand so they dont interchange. Dlask makes an AKM comp for the 858 and CNCwarrior makes several styles in VZ/CZ thread.
JackDanyel, I doubt you could export that out of the states and even if you could the only chance you have getting it to fit a CZ would be to helicoil or time-sert it.
