858 Folding Stock Question

Just bought a nice used 858 with a folding stock. Don't care for the feel of it. I happen to have the red plastic solid stock on hand. Can I take the folder off and install the fixed butt?

Or is the rifle different to accomodate the folder?

the rifle will fit either or, doesnt matter so long as you have the bolt meant for the fixed stock as the folder uses a differnt one

If you have the hardware with your fixed stock,(butt plate,bolt,ferrule,sling swivel and butt plate screw) no problem you are ready to go

...or cut the end off the folder, drill out the inside of the fixed until it fits, use your Dremel until you clean the right side of the stock enough to accommdate the folding mechanism, jam a wooden Dowel or epoxy to put them together. LOoks nice with a matching handguard in Krylon flat black. And Now you have a fixed folder. THe amount of time and skill you use with the Dremel will determine how perfect it is.
