858 questions.

Are the 858 barrels all new? If so are they compairable to the actual military ones?

Also how does the 858 feed hunting ammo?

my understanding is the 858 barrel is not lined and corrosive ammo can eventually eat it.

so clean after shooting corrosive.....

i have no idea about hunting ammo

It is true that they are not chrome lined. No big deal, just clean her. That said, I forgot to clean on of mine for 2 months. I was quite worried but I had no drama what so ever. As long as the rifle is kept in an uber dry place then cleaning isn't a major crisis.IMO. Now keep in mind I also have a 1 lb bag of silica gel in the safe. As for hunting ammo its no problem.

I believe that the CZ 858's are essentially new guns....
The VZ58 are refurbished military units.
My experience with both is than neither likes (to feed) anything other than
FMJ bullets....

My cz858 dident like anything other then FMJ's at the start... but after about 500 rounds it became a big and ate any brand I fed it
