I heard that they won't be imported not because they're "prohibited devices" but because the RCMP has been making it a real hassle. If that's the case, what are the chances of someone taking over for Wolverine and starting to import? It's a great rifle and I'd wanna pick one up eventually. I'm assuming this doesn't affect the CSA's?

I'm not sure if Wolverine is the primary importer, but if shipments for a major retailer like them are getting rejected it's serious business.
Edit: it looks like whatever Wolverine got shipped was not in fact CZ858s as we know them. Wolverine has not posted the exact details of what the rifles were determined to be, all they have said is that the three samples from the shipment were rejected and sent back to CZ. Wolverine has not yet stated what those rifles were, nor has any official change to the CZ858 been made.

I believer there was only 1 exclusive importer originally most gun shops I have talked to say there was only 1 and the mininum order anyways to get the 858 wasn't a small one so most wouldn't bother leaving the larger ones to have at it

It would seem that after being shipped the wrong (?) Product twice that Wolverine Supplies does not want to be out of pocket for any more cash. Can't blame them. It'll be interesting to see what the RCMP report says when it finally comes out. There is currently no danger to existing guns or to the CSA's. (Yes I know Liberals and top cops hate them, but there's sweet #*#* all they can do about it for now.)

"There will not be any more CZ 858 coming into Canada as Wolverine Supplies is the exclusive Canadian importer. We are already (have been for many months!) working on the new CZ 958 but no details at this time and it will be approx. a 12 months before they will be available for sale, we have a lot of hoops to jump through first."

File this in the back of your head and forget about it. Just be happy that John is still trying to bring cool guns to Canada and support him when you can. So if things progress and he's offering it for sale, pick one up then.
