Yes we do but with the mentality of the Canadian gun owner it wont happen. Most gun owners think it doesnt matter unless its their gun that being taken away.
This applies to the average Canadian gun owner:

"First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me."

Untill they get over that nothing will happen by the few of us that care about all of our gun rights not just the ones we think people should own
 
True enough.. We're too fragmented to present a united front. I can even see it at my club. First they introduced policies that would all but eliminate most of the red rifles/toks. Now one of the directors is talking about how nice it would be to ban all rifles. Little by little, we'll be down to spitballs and airsoft.

From being one of the lucky ones who was able to own AK47's and use them a lot (a Russian, 2 yugos, a Chinese military and norc civilian model) I can honestly say that the 858 is a better made rifle. Don't get me wrong I loved my AK's but I would take an 858 over one from all aspects.
 
I usually bash the 858 just to troll but mine like everyone elses didnt work right put of the box, the problem should have been fixed long ago. Atleast a wasr10 works out of the box and has a chrome lined barrel. Yes what the rcmp did was very wrong and we must put up a good fight to protect our other cherished rifles

Yea great one video of one rifle not working. We have a freakin cottage industry dedicated to welding tabs on bolt carriers and you think thats ok? Would it be ok for ford to sell a car that needs engine work right from the factory?

I think that the RCMP were a little more comfortable with these guns when there was the registry and they had them tracked. They got worried that thousands of vz's were coming in country and sold in untraceable ways.
I stop short of saying that its punishment for the LGR being dismantled but ^^ that is the root of the cause here.

That, and that they don't want the people to be better armed than they are. It scares them.

well i'm glad I have an 858, just wish I could have bought a couple more when I had the chance.

Really excellent firearm for the price.
 
I'll miss the 858 series.
Looking forward to details on the upcoming 958 series mentioned here and elsewhere.
 
The CZ 958 is the real deal, they had already been working on it. My guess is it will be similar to an 858 but hopefully available in other calibers like the CSA's are. Really hoping for a 308 version ;)
