85gr. 6.5 bullets

I came across a box of Win. 85gr. hp 6.5 bullets in my reloading shelves. Must have bought them years ago, has anybody tried them? I`m very happy with the loads i`ve worked up in my 264 Win mags, not to sure these short bullets will work real well in the mag cartridge. I use 120 and 130 grain bullets for all hunting loads, should be very destructive on varmints if they will stabilize. Might work in a 6.5x55 except the tend to like long bullets as well.

85gr 6.5 bullets

A few years ago I bought a VLS in 260 and in the package came a couple boxes of 85gr bullets, I think they were Sierra. Anyway I tried them and they shoot very well as in accurate, I bought more of them for target shooting.

I shot a lot of the Sierra 85's thru a number of 96 Swedes back in the late 8's thru to the 90's and they were always satisfyingly destructive of raccons, coyotes and quill pigs...
