Hey folks,

I'm picking up a 14" 870 clone this evening and mulling over stock options for it to minimize it's footprint while travelling and hiking.

Anyone know of options that maintain a 26" oal?

Raptor pistol grip will do it (just) or go with an AR type collapsible stock. They seem to be the best option for actual useability

You could try and find a +1.5 or so round mag extension and run a folder. It would stick out past the muzzle a bit but it would work.

I have a 14" clone with a Gen 2 Knoxx Breacher Grip. It's 26.75" long and is actually not too bad to fire. I have gone as high as 3" buck of different kinds. Slugs might be a bit much if you want to fire several off, I don't really have plans to test them out.

Raptor grip would make it the most compact. I have shot clays with one. Tier One is a couple raptor grips in stock.

I got one of the SAGE EBR collapsible stocks. It's built like a tank, looks great, and I believe you could get away with a 11.5" barrel if you could find one. I picked up a 12.5" but I still need a matching mag tube. It was originally one of the serbu shorties. Was very tempted to leave the 6.5" barrel on it and register it as restricted, but it will actually make a nice bush gun at 12.5 or 11.5 if I can find.

You'd be better off saving the 12.5" barrel for another project and installing a 14" LOP stock and re-register the Super Shorty as nonrestricted, they come out to just over 26" OAL.
