870 16ga

My Standard Catalog of Firearms indicates the same prices for 12, 16, and 20 gauge Wingmasters. That being said, there would be a much smaller supply, and a much smaller market for the 16, so I would think if you can hook up with 16 gauge enthusiast, you might be able to ask a bit of a premium, especially if your Wingmaster is in good shape, and a bit upscale, say with checkering and a vent rib.

You can ask whatever u want as far as price . If u wish to sell it in the market today it's worth what I stated Book values on standard field guns dosen't apply if it has a vent rib u may get the higher price $250 $300 they are built on the 12 ga frame not the most well balanced shotgun

I bought a mint late 1950's 870 16 bore on this sight. It was the typical plain barrel, 28" FULL choked Wingmaster AP grade. I bought it for 225.00 IIRC and had to struggle to sell it at a gun show for 200.00. I am a 16 gauge guy and really like the 870 in 16 gauge, but they do not bring a premium because of gauge or lower production numbers. Like Struff and Ice Dog noted, extras like a 26" vent rib barrel choked IMP CYL or the gun being a BDL version makes a little difference but not much. Suits me just fine I can shoot the old classics in 16 at an affordable price.
