I just got a Wingmaster with a Remington topfolder copstock and plan to cut it down to 18.5 inches, but I need a couple of things cleared up first.

1. What # of mag extension fits the 18.5''?
2. Where does one measure the barrel from?
3. Whats a good spot to get the mag extension, a clamp, a new forend, and a shell holder to fit on the topfolder?

Thanks in advance.

Save your barrel and contact " ponts" in the equipment exchange section he has a brand new 18" remington barrel for $150 shipped. To do yours right you will need sights added to yours and if a gunsmith cuts it, it will cost something. Also if you want to go duck hunting or sell the gun to someone who does, you pull off your tactical stuff and make it a hunting gun. Personally I prefer the factory wood butt stock to all the folders and sliders , it carrys well and shoulders better than most of the folders, don't throw yours away or sell it until you have really shot a lot with the folder. For the parts you are looking for try P&D ENTERPRISES in EDMONTON. But other stores avertised here will have those pieces.

Thanks for the advice, but unfortunantly this is just going to be as cheap of a camping/zombie defence gun as I can as I already have other shotties for clays and hunting. I will give P&D a call or maybe make a trip.

any idea on what mag ext. fits the 18-1/2'' barrel, I'm assuming they measure from the face of the bolt to the muzzle, right?

As per Marstar's website the 7 round (total) mag ext. is the one for the 18.5" barrel.

And just to do a little bit of high jacking. What is the mag. limit on a semi?

A 2 shot extension will fit an 18" barrel. Wolverine carries Wilson Combat extensions. Barrel length is measured from the bolt face to the muzzle, right? Right.

Now just need a synthetic foregrip, and a shellholder for the Rem. top folder. And also am going to try and parkerize it at home, does anyone know the recipe that uses batteries for the black stuff and a commonly found acid. Should be able to finish for under $400 total

For the parkerizing GOTO www.roderuscustom.com then go down left side to "FORUMS" then down to "Gun and Stock finishes" there is a long thread on "PARKERIZING FORMULAS". I would first try it on the piece of barrel you cut off. GOOD LUCK.
