870 barrel clamp alternatives?

I have an 870 with an 18" barrel and flush magazine tube. I hate the barrel clamp. I hate it because it mars the finish, and it's difficult to re-attach after field stripping with the little screw. Huge pain in the ass.
I am looking for an alternative.

Wanstalls has this 70-dollar barrel clamp

Seems to be able to go on easier and can hold a light, though it is expensive.
Your thoughts on it, or any alternative?

Also, what kind of flashlight would fit on something like that?

You'd need to buy the version with the accessory rail to mount the light on. That one only comes with a QD swivel.

I think I might have misread your post, by "flush magazine" do you mean you have a mag extension installed?

From the pic on the Mesa sight, it does look like you can mount a 1" light like a Surefire or Fenix with just the clamp if you don't have an extension.

I agree taking the clamp off scratches the barrel finish, it's super annoying.

What about the Magpul clamp? I was thinking of getting one because it has a sling loop on the side and it's made of plastic so it shouldn't scratch the finish.

I have 3 870's with +2 extensions and don't use any kind of a clamp on any of them

I was also thinking of the bayonet lug from S&J hardware. A lot of the clamps are expensive, and it looks like you get what you pay for. I don't have an immediate plan to throw a bayonet on it but it a.) looks good and b.) looks sturdy.

UTG/Leapers, it comes with 3 or 5 rail slot versions

its at least 4 screws to come off thought

MOD-C made by Cadex. S&J hardware sells them. I've tried them ALL (well except leapers poo) and it rocks.
Very low profile and rock solid. The stock rem clamp is brutal.

If your are looking for a clamp that will not damage or scrach your gun then look at our CDM gear clamps, we have the BMT and BMT with rail in stock as well as the bayonet mount
all come with Thin stoick on 3m poly pads, there is no way your gun will get scratched with these products

I love 870 barrel clamp, it looks classy and utilitarian like the rest of the 870. Not that big of a pain in the ass to remove and re-install, takes you like a second with a screwdriver.
