870 barrel question

Has anyone tried to put a 870 barrel on their HP9-1?

Im thinking about getting a longer barrel for mine, only if it will work.

I used to have my Marine Mag Barel on one of my HP9.It fit fine.

OK thats good to know then. Who has the cheapest non-choked 870 barrel?

ISTR that Dlask was selling off 18 & 28" OEM Remington barrels for pretty cheap- less than $100 IIRC- although the 28" probably has a choke of some sort....

It will only work IF the original barrel was 14".

The HP9-1 I tried recently was a very tight fit with a Remington Barrel.

I also found that the Barrels indexed slightly differently between the Norinco and the Remington receivers.

The Norinco barrel on my 870 had the barrel twisted slightly to the left and with a Remington barrel on the HP9-1's receiver it was twisted to the left....

Mine came with the origianl 14" barrel.

Then all of the Remington barrels will fit.
