Sorry, EDIT that to shoot 3.5'' shells?
That is what I had figured because of how it fits into the receiver.
It'll be right dangerous otherwise?

All rem express where made to take 2 3/4" and 3". If your barrel says 3 1/2" it is not original to your receiver and was replaced at one time either off a super mag or ordered new from remington.
You can shoot the 2 3/4 and 3" out of it just fine but no 3 1/2"
I just purchased a new 12ga wingmaster barrel from remington so I can have the screw in chokes and it actually came made also for 3 1/2" in high gloss not an express barrel.
Many don't realise but Rem did make some 3 1/2" wingmasters also for a year or two in around 2000 I think. take care

Huh? ^
He CLEARLY says that he has a supermag receiver.....where the heck is your post coming from?
Also incorrect. The express is most certainly available in 3.5"

Haha yea, I know it's off another gun. I took it off of my 3.5'' supermag to stick it onto my 3'' because it's 2'' shorter.
I just wanted to see if it was safe to use the old barrel (factory 26'' off of an older remington 870 express) on my new 3.5'' supermag.
On a side note, all remington express were made in at least 3''?
