870 Barrels compatibility

Are all newer 870 barrels compatible with one another? I picked up a 3" barreled 870 Express Magnum for cheap recently, and want to put the 20" rifle sighted barrel that came with it, on my 3 1/2" 870 Express Super Magnum which I have already kitted out as my Tactical gun, and put the 26" barrel from the 3 1/2" gun on the new one. Is this safe to do? Oh ya, both are 12 gauge BTW

Shouldn't be a problem.I have an older 2.75" chambered,20" rifle sighted barrel on my 3" magnum reciever. Cheers Bac4

the three and a half inch gun may be longer in the rceiver check the back of the barrel aganst the other one and u will be able to tell .i do not think they are intrchangable between threeand a half and three inch guns dutch
