Hey guys, I've read a fair amount of chatter on US forums about how rare these are, the feeding frenzy that happens when one goes up for sale...the "why hasn't anyone made a reproduction" talk, etc. etc. Just curious~do any of you have one? Any idea whether or not any of these were ever even IN Canada? From what I've read (and I'm no authority for sure) these were fitted onto 870s issued to the USMC during the Vietnam war. Pretty cool for sure.

I had one years ago and sold it, ive posted on many forums, that i will buy one at almost any price and give 10 new ones to the person that sells it to me.
no one has yet to take up the offer.

They make trench gun bayonet attachment replicas for Winchester, Stevens and Ithaca shotguns. Will ship to Canada.

870 bayo

The bayo mount pictured, as BadboyBeeson stated, is a US military conversion. Aside from the collector interest/value.......they are poorly designed, sloppy fittting, and have crude workmanship.

The bayo mount/barrel clamp design SJ hardware sells is a far better design, better made and works better.

I actually had one of the US military style ones yrs ago. At the time it was simply considered a relic of the 70's.
I bought an entire 870 with that setup for $175......plinked and deer hunted with it and sold it off for about the same $$ in the early 90's.

Like a lot of things now.....wish I still had it to sell to Beeson! LOL
