870 Bolt Question

I was out shooting my 870 Wingmaster on Sunday. Just got it back from being cerakoted and wanted to try it out. On the third shot all I heard was a click. Hmm, racked it again and same thing- click. So, after a quick trip to the bench I discovered a broken firing pin. This shotgun has seen a lot of use but I was still surprised.
So, anyway, I ordered a replacement firing pin and spring. Firing pin is on back order so it's going to take a bit to get here and I would like to shoot it. I have a Norinco 870 clone and I also have an 870 Express. Could I use the bolt from either one of those shotguns until I get my parts. Or is this a bad idea?
Would appreciate any input from experienced shotgun people. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the express and the wingmaster should be the same firing pin.

Your wingmaster should have a better fit and finish to the bolt, but no difference between the pins. Brownells even lists the pin as "870 - common parts".

It should work, guys put wingmaster bolts in express builds when upgrading various parts. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work in reverse, alternatively you could just swap out the firing pin till the new one arrives.

You are correct. I took the pin and spring out of the Express, checked the length to be sure, and installed it. Just got home from the range. Primer imprints look normal, gun functions as before. Thanks guys for your suggestions.
