I was out shooting my 870 Wingmaster on Sunday. Just got it back from being cerakoted and wanted to try it out. On the third shot all I heard was a click. Hmm, racked it again and same thing- click. So, after a quick trip to the bench I discovered a broken firing pin. This shotgun has seen a lot of use but I was still surprised.
So, anyway, I ordered a replacement firing pin and spring. Firing pin is on back order so it's going to take a bit to get here and I would like to shoot it. I have a Norinco 870 clone and I also have an 870 Express. Could I use the bolt from either one of those shotguns until I get my parts. Or is this a bad idea?
Would appreciate any input from experienced shotgun people. Thanks.
