870 build-up weight

Just got my 870 police magnum with the 18" police barrel. Boy is it ever sturdy.

I'm thinking about building it up, for HD, Bear D, Zombie or whatever. Don't really need an excuse, just feel like it. Without any accessories, this is already the heaviest pump I have owned (compared to Fabarm SDASS and Mossy 590A1).

So if I get a Mesa recoil reducing stock, maybe a surefire forearm, and a Mesa rail+side saddle combo, +2 extension, then maybe a Eotech holosight. How heavy is it going to be?

I see a lot of fully pimped 870 out there, someone should be able to tell me if the weight is reasonable. So let's hear it folks!

Just got it, once it's cerakoted i'll, let you know the weight but when i lift my box full of theses goodies, it's not lightweight, i say about 7 pound once finished

Yep my friend, also, got the sprinkler today, will EMT tomorow Casey
What make me sad is i had ordered a MIAD grip at the same time as ALL my components from you casey, but will have to stick with the ugly A2 for now.
The reason for the MIAD is for the spare 123 cell that fit in the grip, it will be as spare for the surefire forearm, as i explain you the shotgun is for my wife for her work. Anyway, ALL the stuff is amasing, the shell holder is BY FAR he best on the market, the shotstock is AWESOME (i have tried it on my 8.5 shorty) Will keep you in touch

I think mine's already over 7.5lb with just the mesa stock... Is 8lb 15ozs a workable weight? Workable as in hunting maybe?

i'd says YES, a huting rifle is around 6 3/4 7 pound plus scope, ring base and so, should be just fine BUT if you hunt with the surefire, doyourself a favor, remouve the light and put the HUNTING cap from surefire

Well with a Vang comp barrel, which I plan to get and a Mesa recoil stock kit, recoil isn't a main concern here. Having to carry a heavy gun all day long in the bush is. Although I do think the surefire forearm will have to stay home if I ever do take the gun hunting.
