At $950 I'm better off getting a used one. I saw one today at the club and it was a beautiful 870 in excellent condition (very well-maintained).
No monte-carlo stock though.

blargon said:good idea, you could get a regular synthetic 870 with 28 or 30" barrel and buy a monte carlo buttstock for $50 and have all of $400 into it, brand new.
The 870 trap is basically a wingmaster with fancy grain and the monte carlo. nice gun, but $$$. used usually go for $450 - $500.

Very good point. However I would do that with a Wingmaster and not an Express. The brand new Wingmasters go for $600+ here in Montreal.
At $950 I'm actually bettr off getting the Remington 1100 G3 that just came out and that is soldfor $936 at LeBaron's. That is one beautifully made shotgun.
Thanks for all the input,
