870 ejection

Got a recent 870 express tactical and the ejection is pretty weak, any ideas on how to improve it?

I had the same problem till I pumped it with authority!

Yea unless you rack it back all the way an with some oomf! The spent hulls will just sort of drop out

870s simply don't eject forcefully for a given amount of force compared to most other pump designs, a rack that sends a shell flying with authority from an 870 will propel one yo warp speed with the others.

Besides who cares how far the spent hull shoots out of the ejection port, as long as that hull is removed from the chamber after firing, I could care less where it lands.

strip it and look for accumulated grime behind the ejector spring...

Re-shaped the ejector spring and now it's fine!....thanks for the useful suggestions
