Edward: Are you actually experiencing problems ejecting promo Winchester ammo through your 870 or have you just heard about this issue? I own several 870's (including Express models) and don't have a problem ejecting any brand of ammo. If you do, buy a brass chamber brush (which is oversized) and put some Flitz brand polish on the brush. You can either chuck the brush in a portable drill and turn at a low speed in the chamber area for a few minutes or use elbow grease if you don't have a drill. Then clean out the Flitz residue and you should be good to go. As far as the forend goes, if you remove it from the magazine tube and look at the end opposite of the two action bars, you will see a 'ring' with two opposed slots in it. At times that 'ring' will unscrew, causing the action bars to fit loosely in the receiver. Although there is a tool to tighten this ring I have used a piece of brass (to prevent marring) the thickness of which corresponds with the thickness of the slots. I then place the piece of brass in a pair of vice-grips and turn the 'ring' clockwise. No brass available? Cut the head off an unused house key and use the flat side. Hope this assists you.
