870 Express Home Defence Combo

So... Where can I buy one? Here is the Cabelas info from the american site. I've found the Mossberg equivielent at klondike arms in Edmonton, but no luck on the 870. Mossberg even makes a 3 barrel combo that comes with the rifled barrel.

Are the barrels available? I see them on some sites but many I've talked to said they are hard to come by here.

sounds like just a regular 870 Express with the typical 18.5" bead sighted barrel and the 26" Express barrel.

an 870 Express with an 18.5" barrel, factory +2 mag extension and mag clamp is ~$350 brand new. you can pick up a 26" barrel for it on the EE, theyve been going for ~$150 shipped.

definitely dont do it the other way around since there are about 20 people on the EE looking for the 18.5" barrels, so you wont find those.

Yeah thats exactly what it is. Good tip on ordering the 18.5" barrel.

That puts the cost just about the same as buying the combo. Do the 26" barrels have interchangable choke tubes?

I did a quick search on the EE parts section for "870" Only a couple of barrels came up.

Can they be purchased new? The guy a Klondike didn't think I would ever find one.

I'll probably do what was sugested and order the 18.5 express, then hunt for a 26" barrel with interchangable choke tubes. Assuming they are available at a resonable cost.

thats what i said - buy the 18.5" express gun, and buy the 26-28" barrel on the EE
the 26-28" barrel will usually come with one choke, but theres a guy selling some rem-chokes reasonably cheap on the EE as well.

LeBarons has the 18.5" Express, with +2 mag extension for $390, with a $20 club card (10% off everything thats not on special) its $350.

the Mossberg combo at cabelas is $299, with an 18.5" barrel and a 28" barrel, but the drawback is that the 28" barrel has a fixed modified choke and not a removable one.
still, id consider it.
