*Mods please move - Wrong forum my apologies
I recently installed a rail mount which required the 870 to be dismantled down to the trigger in order to place the mount on and then replace the two screws with the ones that came with the mount.
Today I got out to the bush, and noticed that when I cycled the action it would lock firmly as it should but when I squeezed off the trigger (dry fire/function test) the slide and action would have play and wouldn't be locked in place exposing roughly 1/8th of an inch gap. I can ready the shotgun release the trigger then holding the shotgun upright the slide and carrier group will slide back exposing that gap.
Is this the norm for this action? If not, any suggestions as too what the issue may be? Luckily I had my rifle with me too so this mornings hunt wasn't a disaster
Quick Recap:
- New 870 express
- Installed this rail mount: weaveroptics.com/rings_bases/mounting_systems/no_gunsmith_shotgun/
Thank you in advance!
