Anyone have a good suggestion for a replacement stock? I'm either looking for a waterfowl synthetic or maybe even a laminate. I have the hardwood 870 Express and need to look cool while shooting ducks! ;)

RangerDave...check out Boyds Stocks...usually they have a good selection of colored laminates. Have ya given any thought on maybe painting your old stock with Krylon flat camo colors....could be a good option for you as well if your a hands on kinda guy.

My vote goes to the Remington syn camo stock kit. Put one on mine a few years ago. The fit and finish (IMO) is great. Includes a new stock bolt as well if my memory serves me correctly. Keeps the balance of the shotgun and offers good checkering as well. Most gun shops have them on the shelves, especially this time of year. I'm sure Epps does. The Rem Mossy Oak part # for the 870 is 18613, generally around $79. They will also take your original stocks in partial exchange if you don't want them. (They used to anyway)

I had a 870 Express Super Mag in Laminate and I painted it. It took a while to do a nice job, but it turned out really nice and it was very durable.

I recieved quite a few compliments, and I had to explain how to do it numerous times.
