Hi All,

Just got a new 12ga. 870 Express Super Magnum Synthetic (birthday present to myself) on friday. My buddy was in calgary on business on thursday and knew I was thinking about buying one so he offered to pick one up for me at Wholesale Sports while he was there. Because he was bringing it back on a commercial flight he also had to pick up a case and trigger lock for it which he told me was his birthday present to me (THANKS PHIL:D ).
Anyway, we took it out to the Abby range on saturday and put about 150 rounds of Federal 2 3/4", 7 1/2 3 dram shells through it with narry a hicup... except for the few times I short stroked it  We also splattered some water filled plastic jugs with some 3" slugs for grins OUCH!!!

We smashed a couple of boxes of clays between us and killed all the milk jugs in my recycle bin in about 5 hours of shooting:eek: All in all a great day at the range and for $359 plus tax, I couldn't be happier with this shotgun.

GUNS GOOOOD :D

I bought the 26" barrel super magnum

hey gbmarch, I bought the exact same shotgun about a month ago. I bought mine for general blasting and target shooting. I practicaly don't know anything about guns, but the guy at my local gun store said they are one of the best shotguns around for the money. he also talked me into getting the super magnum for $50 more so in the future if I decide to use it for hunting I would be equipped.

I've been looking around for some cool add-ons for my shoty, like a side saddle for holding extra catridges and a sling. what about you? I've been reading up on this site so much just last week I had a dream that zombies were taking over and I had my trusty 870 heheh

I think my next gun will be a semi-auto pistol, and I'm leaning toward the springfield armory 1911

Funny, I was just saying to my buddy today that I might look into a short barrel and a mag extension for it so I can convert to blaster shotty mode whenever the mood strikes me.
Have you tried any 3" slugs in yours yet?
And I agree these guns are great for the price.

Cheers

I bought the same shotgun from SIR a couple of months ago. One of the best deals in new firearms these days.

hey, I have a question for you guys, and this may sound silly. have you ever shot your shotgun or heard of someone shooting by holding the trigger and cycling the cartriges repeatedly? I thought it would be pretty fun, but it seems like it might not be good for the gun.
