870 Express Tactical Barrel Bulge

I'm not as shotgun knowledgable as the other commenters but IMHO, guns are cheap, our health and safety are not.

I'd replace the barrel and if not possible I'd get another shotgun. The bulged gun could be relegated to low volume, low pressure non lethal loads like crack flares. I prefer not to shoot non lethal rounds from my primary gun.

You're not a real gunnut until you have 5 or 6 shotguns and hide them from your spouse in your gun safes...........
 
Easier not to tell her everything lol. Been reading this why would there be a bulge? Sounds like a factory defect. Right in front of the chamber. Cant see it but can feel it. Whats the worst that can happen? Its a riot gun

edit its a bulge not a constriction. Shot will be fine and myself would not be worried about slugs
