Today I got my first chance to shoot my recently purchased 870 Express Tactical. Here is my report:
First of all, I chose to test the gun out with uber-cheap Winchester Universal target shot bought at Canadian Tire. I did this on purpose, because I wanted to see if the supposedly crap ammo would jam in my alledgedly burr-filled shotgun receiver.
Well, all I can say is that I was more than pleasantly surprised. I shot a full 75 rounds(Yes, my shoulder is sore) through the shotgun, and other than the odd round that seemed to shoot WAY off target, I experienced ZERO jams and ZERO ejection issues. I guess I got a good gun free of burrs.
I just thought I'd share, because I have read horror stories about these guns. Rest assured that Remington is still sending out quality products from their factories........
