870 express tactical + sling adapter + knoxx stock

Hi everyone!

has anyone put a single point sling adapter and a knoxx stock on an 870?

any problems with the knoxx stock and the sling adapter in terms of fitment?

anyone know of a sling adapter that has worked well with an 870 express tactical and a knoxx stock?

PS... found out the hard way that mesa tactical single point sling adapters dont seem to fit on an 870 express tactical. (perhaps this particular part is out of spec, but it wont fit on my 870 tactical or my buddies identical piece.)

They have a new single point sling mount that fits between a standard butt stock and the frame. could be that?

The only other one I see that you describe is the model that fits between the receiver and their LEO telescoping stock adaptor.

Its on page 13 of the 2011 cataloge i,m not sure it that out yet but Mitch from mesa tactical and i were talking about it, due to somthing i was working on for a US customer of ours.
Word gets out fast when 2 people are working on the same project...

That is correct, mesa part # 93320, "receiver-back hook loop" does not fit the express tactical model...

In stark contrast to my experience with other mesa products, this one is not terribly well made...the finish on this part is garbage. Fortunately the retailer has an excellent return policy.

Anyone care to suggest an alternative for this part (esp something that will work with a knoxx stock?)

Yes, a huge problem. I just remembered now. The sling plate moves the stock back so the gap between the trigger guard and the pistol grip gets fairly large and you could get your finger in there and loose a chunk under recoil. As the stock absorbs the recoil the trigger guard moves into the stock recess and if you inadvertantly got a piece of your finger in there

BTW I had one of those from BBB but after I installed it and saw the gap I put it on my 11-87. I went for one of the MESA ones.

You mean like the one in the pic above? It's a bit of a pain to mount but works fine once mounted. I think I had to add a washer below the mount to cover the countersunk screw hole in the shell holder but it works fine.
