870 Express?

With the way Remington is going in the toilet in recent years the best Remingtons will be the older used ones. It should not take too long for the Benelli Nova to be the new leader in the pump gun world.
 
As crazy as it may sound, my 3 years old Express has suddenly stopped rusting! :confused: Seriously, for the first two years it would have light surface rust on the coating each time I picked it up. No matter how much I cleaned/oiled it after each use.

Starting a year ago it has stopped. I have used it in rain, stored it without cleaning and going back to it a few weeks later, fully expecting to find surface rust....nothing. This Rem. exclusive, coating material is really weird! I am guessing it has slowly interacted with gun oil and cleaning products and somehow it is now doing what it was put there for! Ohhh... Remington, What's wrong with you?

p.s. Say...can i sell my "discovery" back to Remington and make some money on that. :D
 
My Express super mag was made around 2007. It jammed constantly. My friend who got his around the same time had the same problem.

I was able to fix it for the most part by polishing the chamber.
 
have a mid oughts one, not sure exactly the year though. No jams, no issues and most importantly NO RUST!!! :eek: I'd get the gun.
