Hi everyone.
I recently bought an 870 tactical express with the synthetic stock and was wondering what options are out there to increase the length of pull on it. I believe the factory LOP is 14", i see there are plenty of options to shorten the LOP but not many to increase it. Remington does make a LOP kit to space it up to an extra inch but i haven't found and canadian retailers that stocks it. I dont want a stock with a pistol grip, or a slip on rubber recoil pad so i was hoping someone may have some insight on some other options or knows a retailer that stock the reminton LOP kit.

I'm pretty sure I've seen them at Cabella's and Wholesale sports. Might be the kind of thing you won't see on a website but is in the store. You can also just order it from Brownells.

You must be a giant to need more than 14'' lol! I'm 6' and just shortened a wood stocked 870 to 13 1/2''.

Regardless I've been looking for spacers for another I'm playing with and brownells is the easy solution, although I'm hoping the local WSS has something for me.

thanks for all the input

What about a magpul sga stock , but it only go's to 14.5" , although you can get an adaptor to use Remy recoil pads that might stretch it out more.

I was thinking about the magpul stock but im not sure exactly how i feel about it... i like the look of the hogue one a little better

Lol yeah, I'm 6'4" with a giraffe neck! what product from brownells are you refering to?

If you go on the brownells site and search "stock spacer" you'll see lots of options. Unfortunately none are drop in install but grinding a spacer to fit is easy. You'd gain what you're looking for without getting a new stock

Here's what I found- http://www.brownells.com/search/index.htm?k=stock+spacer&ksubmit=y

As another option one could add a sling mount between the receiver and stock. You'd gain the thickness of the mount ( looks to be less than 1/'4'')

Maybe get a piece of 1" hardwood from the lumber store and just build a spacer? Seems like one could be made for cheap if you have a saw and some sand paper.

A screw on recoil pad will give you about an inch. You can use spacers, plastic or otherwise, to get more. Just remember your coat adds a bit too.
To get the actual Remington kit, you'll likely have to order one through your local gun shop.
