Thought I'd share, son's 2 year old 870 let him down late last season, cycling the action would load normally but not get the gun into battery. The nut that holds the wooden handle onto the slide (didn't know it had one)had backed off about 1cm so the handle was hitting the barrel retaining nut at the forward end of its stroke. Tightened the nut and back in business. Has this happened to any one else here?
