870 mag tube issue

I was having some feeding issues at my last 3 gun match. I figured I was just short stroking it, but when I looked at a video of me running it, it sure didn't look or sound like a short stroke. I took the gun apart to clean the mag tube and noticed this. This is on a new police 870.

I'm trying to polish it smooth, but those are some pretty deep grooves in there.

Shells hanging up before they got to the latches?

I'd send it back, and aside from that you may have to put a new mag tube in. or possibly try to fill the gouges with devcon and smooth it out. But I would try Remington first and foremost

Do you think they'll overlook the dremel job on the receiver, and still cover it under warranty?

I'm guessing no. But it never hurts to ask I guess.

That was my initial thought. But when I looked closer, the marks line up with whatever that block is called that your bolt slides across, right where it was brazed on. Like it got too hot and burned through.

I'm fairly confident that warranty will not apply in this case.

You could possibly fill in the holes with some JB-Weld. Then grind and polish it nice and smooth.

Probably the route I would take.
