870 Marine Magnum

Is the trigger plate assembly on a Remington 870 Marine Magnum aluminum or plastic?

On my Marine Magnum the trigger guard is aluminum.

On mine it is aluminum, but rather light weight! But, no problems in the fifteen years since I bought it. This is my main bear defence gun (Oops - I probably shouldn't have started that)

I've had a MM for about 8 years. I was eyeballing a MM at wholesale last week, they seem to be a tad shinier, and have a "J lock" in the trigger guard. The trigger guard is still some sort of coated aluminum. I am happy to say they still have silky smooth actions.
